How to Get Involved

Tennikoit is a fun and exciting sport and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with everything that’s going on! No matter what your age or your skill level, whether you’re interested in playing, coaching, or volunteering, there’s something on offer for everyone.

This page of the website has been put together to point you in the right direction if you’re looking for opportunities.

Play Tennikoit

Tennikoit is fun and really easy to play! There are tennikoit teams in schools and out in the community across the country. All the clubs offer coaching and casual play sessions and are the best place to get started. If you don’t know where your local club is, you can use our find a club tool. If there’s not a club listed that’s local to you, contact us and we’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

If you want to join a club or take part in events and competitions, you’ll need to become a member of Tennikoit GB. Membership is totally free and joining means you’ll get a unique ID number that’s used to follow your progress in the sport. Having an ID number is also part of the eligibility criteria for representing Team GB.

Become a Coach

Coaches are the backbone of the sport and there’s nothing more rewarding than helping players develop their skills and achieve their potential… all while they’re having fun getting fit and healthy. If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer coach at a school or community team, you won’t find a more rewarding role in tennikoit!

If you’re interested in becoming a coach, there’s a coaching pathway open to you. The first step of the pathway is usually getting some experience volunteering at a local club – you can find a list of clubs by using the find a club tool on this website.

If there’s not a club listed in your local area but you still want to get involved, then you could start your own club! The process is pretty straight-forward, but you’ll get lots of support from Tennikoit GB as the national governing body.
